LMAO AT SARAH! We're okay! Two trees fell on my house (not through)...it's a war zone out here (debris-wise). We didnt have power for 4 days but we got power, internet, cable and water back! One of the lucky ones.

hey, what was the juicy gossip?? kidding...kidding...

i wish someone would blog about Ike, and yea, like mik said, it is indeed like a war zone, exactly what my mom said.  my mom lost a lot of trees and the damage is pretty severe, but it could have been much worse and my mom actually feels lucky.  my mom was out of town during the whole ordeal, but she came home to find a tree fallen on her garage, a tree in her pool and a tree down her driveway...what a mess! i may post pictures on facebook.  oh wait, did you quit facebook?

*giggles* Yes, I did quit, for about six months, but I'm back. And hopelessly swirling in that vortex. So, yeah, go right ahead.

And thanks, mik, for the update! I heard Julie made it through fine. Anybody heard from Amy?

I haven't heard from Amy, either. I'm just hoping that she doesn't have power and that her cell battery ran out. I'll google her neighborhood and see what the scoop is there.

My best friend in Beaumont, TX, was one of the first people I knew to get power back.

My relatives in the Houston area (specifically Houston, Cypress, and Spring) are about 50-50 on power and water, as of yesterday. They're all fine, though. Julie Reese "cleared" her apt in Clear Lake (hehe) and is back home, with full power and water. Lucky gal!

Google Result:
"As of early Wednesday afternoon, Entergy Texas had restored power to 54 percent of its customers in The Woodlands area, north of Houston." Source: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/tx/6009044.html.

So, hopefully Amy will have power back tomorrow or Friday.
